A game that could be the diamond in the rough. Tera (TERA The Exiled Realm of Arborea). If you read the article the game is a FPS style play (been loving that lately) but it has been quoted as being by far the best in the MMO realms by numerous testers.

The game is suppose to have a HEAVY emphasis on grouping and teamwork.

Quote:
it could potentially become frustrating to players who have a streak of bad luck and end up with groups that don’t work well together. In some games a disjointed group may be frustrating, but often you can flub your way through the content. I’m not sure if that will be possible with TERA

Quote:
On the other hand, if you have friends who can carry their own, or make some new friends with skilful alert gamers, you’ll have what could quite possibly be the best group MMOGing experience you’ve ever encountered.

The game has an interesting Race line up, and the typical Fantasy classes (Warrior, Priest, Sorc, Ranger, Berserker, etc...)

Needless to say I am looking forward to it, I doubt anyone is ready to move out of WoW but i'd like to see how it goes when it releases and see if we cant get a group of players to try it out and see if we can bring back some glory CoR days.

Anyone else been following or heard of this game?

To be honest I doubt that I would be interested in this game. According to the review this game is massively (maybe solely) dependent on making people work in groups and not being able to accomplish anything if they are not in a group or part of a balanced group that knows what it is doing. In other words you can forget about soloing anything - it ain't gonna happen.

It sounds like a poor wannabe version of an aboveground Dungeons and Dragons Online. I do see where the reviewer is looking forward to seeing what changes have been made at the "next years" expo - means to me that this game won't even be out until 2012 or so.

Do you really love the lamp, or are you just saying it because you saw it?!
