Anyone hear anything? Is it any good? I saw it at gamestop today - took a vacation day and took the family to underwater world at Mall of America.

Seems to me that it becomes a bit repetitive pretty early on. I've been playing some and will probably cancel before my first subscription payment becomes due.

I'm playing EQ2 now, but I am thinking about trying STO. I enjoy the star trek mythos a lot. Does STO have a 10 day trial or anything like that?

Wow back to EQ2. It amazes me it is still going. I stopped a couple years ago and it was already very mature.
Anyway I talked with Cay about it a bit and it sounds like it is just okay. I am just a little burned out on games for now. I just pre-ordered the new FF game for Xbox 360. I think the fact that Square is releasing the same game for PS3 and Xbox 360 is the biggest gaming news lately.
I downloaded D&D online but have not started it up yet.

Take this with a grain of salt, since i've only been playing STO for 1 weekend, and I'm just up to level 6. LT 6. I freakin' love it so far. I like that you can customize your ship to a certain extent, you can customize the colors of your uniform. I also like the way the space combat works and I also enjoy the away team content so far. I actually am reading the quest text which I don't even remember the last time I was in a game and did read the quest text. I enjoy they way the used terms from the movies/tv shows to make them actual abilities. "Emergency Power to Shields" is an actual ability. that cracks me up. I think they did a pretty good job of transferring the feel of the series to the game. There are a lot of nuances to the game that really connect with me that a lot of other MMO's seem to miss. I have some more thinking to do regarding what those nuances really are but it definitely is something that EQ2, and WOW and even LOTRO didn't have. Ferran, are you in a Fleet? So I gotta be a little bit LESS PC about this than baku.. Make a damn post people, if you are playing a game let us know..what you like what you dont why we should play or just to say STFU Gildor!.. Unless we know where you are, if we decide to pick up a game we may waste time developing chars on a different server or something..

STFU Gildor. now that thats out of the way, we have a fleet put together, 42nd irregulars, captains name is Ferren (what else) and im on the USS Santa Fe. for some strange reason, i cant remember what the hell my global is.. gonna have to look. in case anyone is interested, i DO happen to have one 10 day trial left. first come first served, yada yada.
