Free Realms

(Jabber/Maldran) have formed the guild in Free Realms. I've noticed a
few of us trickling in and testing things out. I've also made a post on
the official forums for recruiting. Its a simple game, but there seems
to be a lot to do and takes little time to get something done. If you
are interested, don't expect a game like WoW, or WaR.

Well, actually the art is a lot like WoW, but that is besides the
point. It is primarily a kids game, but it does have some challenge to
it, its free..and you can be a ninja.

It does not matter what server you create a character on as you can
switch every time you log in and chat across servers. However, there
are some benifits to being on the same server as a friend, such as
teleporting to where they are on the world map. You'll find me mostly
hanging out on Server 3.

I blame Sarsar for anything negative this news post brings.

We will be on the Ostermark server for Warhammer Online.  Playing on the Destruction side.  Remember this is a role play server so pick names that will fit Mythics role play server naming policy.  See you all there.

Join the WAR!

The horns are sounding, feel the beat of the drums, listen to the roar of the hordes calling for WAR! This is a call to all CoR members to prepare for the launch of Warhammer Online come Sep 18th. Visit the forums and check the news to join us for when this game goes live. Several members have already been in the betas, and with the upcoming Preview Weekend on Aug 22-25, and Open Beta come Sep 7th, many more should get the first taste. Once the live servers are posted from Mythic we will have it posted for all to know where to come and join the hordes.

A Return to Our Roots

Today is the day we return to our roots with a return to a name that embodies the past, past friendships, past battles, and past glories. It's a name that instilled hope in the innocents and instilled fear in those who would take advantage of them.

As we travel to new realms, set off on new crusades, new adventures, and make new friends we will be writing our own history and adding to the legend.
 Once again we are known as the "Crusaders of the Realms"!

Yet again CoR has taken up refuge behind the walls of Forest Sauvage. We are playing our Albion characters on the Killibury cluster (Bors, Gawaine, Guinevere,
Merlin, Nimue, Palomides, Percival). If you are an old Dark Age of Camelot player or a new player looking to meet and hang out with us all and would like to join us until the release of Warhammer, stop on by!

Our Everquest II Chapter has dwindled significantly and we do have some folks playing WoW Alliance on Cenarion Circle, look for Trollsbane, Calley, or Rols if your playing on the WoW side of things.

CoR in Pirates of the Burning Sea

Over the weekend a few of us picked up "Pirates of the Burning Sea" .  I won't say that any official chapter has opened yet, as people are still testing the waters (puns kick arse) to see if they like it.  However, we have created a society (Guild) under the name "Cutthroats of Ruin" on the Bonny (sp) server, and the Pirate faction.

I'm not aware of any "demo" out right now, but if you know someone with a buddy key you can use it to test thing out.

If any one is wondering, we are not quitting EQ II either.  Raids still happening at the same time and this game is included in the all for one Station Pass that Sony offers and many of us already pay for anyway, so we’ll still be around in both I think.

I'll do my best here not to sound like an NPR campaign, but our goal is to free up some people from having to be the sole person paying for our guild services.  We have had fewer donations than I expected there would be, so I've had to keep up payments for the Ventrilo server myself.


I'll post the breakdown on what we have in the private forums, if you'd like to see the costs of each item.  If you can't donate, don't feel guilty or anything that is fine.  The site and Vent will be paid for one way or another.  We are just hoping that we can get some help from you fabulous super ultra awesome members!

Also, if you donate under an email address you did not register, please send me a PM, or email admin@companionsoftherealms.com so that I can recognize you for your donation!  If you don't want to be recognized, that is fine as well.

Well, everything is functioning close to normal.  My backup had some older versions of my work mixed in with it and there were some tedious changes I had to make.  So, there will be glitches in the various areas.  If you could please continue to post any errors so that I can take a look at them and fix the issue, I would appreciate it!

Raiding Again

We are starting up our raiding again, so pass the word around!  If you have any reuqests of places to raid or try, please let Bakardy know in game or on the forums and I'm sure he will be happy to look into it.

Event details is not working still for some reason, but the forums do.  I will be looking into the event details this weekend tho!

All:

Id like to applogize for the issues we have been having.  We are now on a new host and the database has been restored.  Unfortunatly, there are some issues in the pages themselvs that I have got to figure out.  The forums are not yet working, and many of my pages are not working. 

I have reopened a few forums on our old forums that you can access here.

Your old username and password should work fine. 

For this weekends event I posted, I have had to change the date to 5pm est. due to some things I forgot about. 

I will be working thru the weekend to try to get the site back up and running as it was before it went down.
